Kotor has one rather inconvenient habit: it is hard to leave.

Maybe it’s the sea. Maybe the walls. Maybe the people.

Most likely, it’s all three.

Because once you wander through its narrow stone streets, step onto a piazza, climb up to the city walls and catch that view of the bay – leaving suddenly feels like a bad idea.

And right there, between stone and sea, CIM Forum has been taking shape for six years.

That’s why CIM is not just a conference. Not just a festival. Not just a programme.

CIM is an experience.

Four days of Kotor. Four days when you start the morning at a panel, somehow end up in a three-hour conversation in the afternoon, and head out for “just one drink” in the evening – only for the town to call it a night before you do.

Expect people from the creative industries, arts, culture, media, technology and business. Speakers worth showing up for. Ideas worth talking about. Workshops, artistic programmes, projects, music, late-night gatherings – and that classic CIM moment when you meet someone you never planned to meet and discover you have far more to talk about than expected.

All of it in Kotor – a UNESCO World Heritage city between mountains and sea, behind ancient walls and along streets that were never designed for shortcuts. And honestly, why rush?

CIM Forum is a space for dialogue, exchange and learning. It brings together all those who shape the modern world of communications, media, technology and art with their work and ideas.

CIM is a Festival that inspires, connects people and strengthens the development of creative industries in the Balkans and beyond, but also strengthens mutual trust and solidarity in the community.

To come with a heart and surely leave with a smile. We break the boundaries – of professions, languages, sectors – by building a network of people who want to create meaningfully, not just profitably.

WHY Kotor?

Because it’s a city. A city of layers: historical, cultural, identity. It carries the spirit of the Mediterranean, but also the peace that is needed to hear what is important. We believed that Kotor as such is an ideal environment for dialogue and exchange because it reminds us how important it is to stay connected to ourselves and our roots, even while talking about the future and innovations.

Because Kotor is a city that listens. Every square carries a story, every shack a silent shack, and every shadow is a space for an idea. Time runs slower here, so thoughts go deeper. Kotor is an inspiration, a refuge and an extraordinary scene. And believe me – when someone speaks an idea from the top of the fortress, it echoes around the world. Alkima knows this best.
