Agusta Thorarinsdottir is an Icelandic Creative Producer working across Iceland and the UK at the intersection of contemporary art, music and cultural heritage.
Through her production company Einkofi Productions, she develops international collaborations, site-specific works and projects rooted in the histories and identities of North Atlantic and European cultures.
Agusta holds a BA in Social Anthropology from the University of Iceland and an MA from the University of Manchester. Her practice is research-led, centred on creating conditions for artists to explore and develop new work collaboratively. Her portfolio spans light art festivals, AV installations, commissioned music and large-scale cultural tourism events across Iceland, the UK, Scandinavia and Ireland.
She has extensive experience with Creative Europe-funded projects, having partnered on NATUR: North Atlantic Tales (2018) and Moving Classics: Sonic Flux (2020). She currently leads Moving Classics: Sonic Bridges, a large-scale Creative Europe collaboration exploring European identity on the fringes of the continent.
