At CIM Forum 2026, we welcome Mato Uljarević — a multidisciplinary artist, director, animator, and leader of the project “Nikšić 2030 – European Capital of Culture”.
Drawing from his experience working on the Nikšić 2030 European Capital of Culture project, Mato will speak about how culture can open a city to new ideas, international cooperation, artists, young people, and contemporary creative practices.
His work bridges film, animation, literature, and cultural management, building connections between art and community development.
He is the recipient of the “Zlatko Grgić” Award at ANIMAFEST Zagreb 2025 for his animated film “Uroš”, and the “Novica Tadić” Award for his poetry collection “Suteren”. He is the founder of the REANIMACIJA Festival and representative for the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
